How to Stop Outside Entities in Lucid Dreams

Be The First To Comment
People love lucid dreaming because they are able to do anything they want. But in some cases, some entities in the dreams feel outside the dream. They usually attack you, which can feel unsafe. This article going to show you how to deal with this.

Method 1
Near Inescapable Offensive Attacks

  1. Image titled Stop Outside Entities in Lucid Dreams Step 1
    1
Make sure you are dreaming. If this is not a dream, then you are really experiencing these.
  2. Image titled Stop Outside Entities in Lucid Dreams Step 2
    2
Check if the entity is hostile or neutral. If neutral, you don't have to bother them. If hostile, read on.
    • Hostile entities have powers like suddenly teleporting (like Slenderman). The best way to fight them off is a nuclear strike. But remember to imagine super armor for yourself or you will suddenly wake up because of the immense pain.
    • Nuclear strikes are deadly because they deal very high damage with the extreme following effect: Radiation. These effects can move on for miles and miles.
  3. Image titled Stop Outside Entities in Lucid Dreams Step 3
    3
Make sure you do not use any escapable attacks on them. Don't open a hole in the ground because they might suddenly fly or use a gun shot because they can escape if they are quick enough. A nuclear strike is near impossible for them to escape.
  4. Image titled Stop Outside Entities in Lucid Dreams Step 4
    4
You don't need to follow these steps, just use impossibly escapable attacks on them. If you don't like brutal, offensive, bloody attacks, read on.

Method 2
Dealing with Mental Brain Attacks

  1. Image titled Stop Outside Entities in Lucid Dreams Step 5
    1
    Get away from the entity.
  2. Image titled Stop Outside Entities in Lucid Dreams Step 6
    2
Scream this command as loud as you can cause your brain picks this up and will do the commands you say: "Destroy that entity".
  3. Image titled Stop Outside Entities in Lucid Dreams Step 7
    3
You don't have to follow that command, just say anything that will be against that entity.
    • There is a risk cause if that entity is resistant to your command, then when you wake up you should have a headache because your brain executed a command and failed and they keep repeating so your brain will hurt if that entity is not destroyed or you not yet wake up.

Method 3
Defensive Lines against the Entity

  1. Image titled Stop Outside Entities in Lucid Dreams Step 8
    1
This is the most time-consuming and lucidity decreasing method in this article.
  2. Image titled Stop Outside Entities in Lucid Dreams Step 9
    2
For this to work, you need armies. Imagine an army of soldiers holding a line that is between you and the entity. When you see the entity, command the army to attack it.
    • This might work but in some cases it will fail.
  3. Image titled Stop Outside Entities in Lucid Dreams Step 10
    3
Keep reminding yourself you are dreaming if you want to continue the fight cause this will increase your lucidity.
  4. Image titled Stop Outside Entities in Lucid Dreams Step 11
    4
If the line is broken and all units are dead, fight it yourself. This will actually show the entity your will to fight on.
  5. Image titled Stop Outside Entities in Lucid Dreams Step 12
    5
If you fail to fight it, command your brain to destroy it or lose lucidity rapidly if you want to wake up.

Out of Body Experiences: Are OBEs Real or Lucid Dreams?

Be The First To Comment
Out of body experiences (OBEs or OOBEs) involve the vivid sensation of moving outside your physical body and sometimes traveling far beyond it.
Out of Body Experience
OBEs are most likely to occur when you are asleep, meditating or practicing wake-induced lucid dream exercises. Indeed, many dream explorers agree that out-of-body phenomena are extensions of the lucid dream experience.
Around 1 in 10 people have experienced an OBE at some time in their lives - and some people have them frequently. There are many ways to induce an OBE and we'll look at a practical technique for doing so at the end of this article.

The Link Between OBEs and Lucid Dreams

Our scientific understanding of the OBE strongly suggests that it is a type of lucid dream. It's no coincidence that out-of-body induction techniques are virtually identical to Wake Induced Lucid Dreams. They are virtually the same phenomenon:
An OBE/WILD begins when you're lying down, ideally having recently woken from a sleep. The body then slips back into sleep paralysis (the protective mechanism which prevents us from acting out our dreams) and the body falls asleep. However, unlike in normal sleep, the mind (your conscious awareness) remains awake.
This can give you the unusual sensation of being "stuck" in your physical body in bed, with the need to free yourself. In reality, you are already dreaming. However the sensation of sleep paralysis, plus the continuation of consciousness, tricks your body into dreaming that you are still lying in bed. Your bedroom may look exactly as normal - or there may be subtle differences, such as an extra window.
At this stage, with the conscious mind active while dreaming, we call it lucid dreaming. The experience can be highly tactile and vivid. Lucid dreamers will attest that it can feel incredibly real, and those who genuinely believe they are having an out-of-body experience will have a hard time accepting that it's all "just a dream".
To complete the transition, you need to use your imagination to swing, float or roll out of your body, which still feels like lead thanks to the effect of sleep paralysis. Other dream characters (often perceived as ghosts, spirits, aliens or even demons) may enter your bedroom and can help or hinder your efforts. Their behavior generally depends on your own expectation and mental state.
It is also possible to "teleport" out of your body and directly into a new dream scene / OBE location. Just visualizing the desired location can lead to instant OBE travel. Of course this is not a literal teleportation of the body - but of the mind into dreamland.
Often during the WILD technique, it is possible to bypass the whole experience of going out-of-body by visualizing the lucid dream scene before you start dreaming. With your eyes closed, focus your attention on your hypnagogia and let go of any bodily sensation whatsoever. Many people find this a much smoother transition.
For step-by-step instructions, see my WILD tutorial.

Near Death Experiences

Out of body experiences can also be triggered under clinical conditions where brain function is compromised - such as stroke, epilepsy, head trauma and drug abuse. When this happens it is more often reported as a Near Death Experience (NDE).
Symptoms of a Near Death Experience are much the same as an OBE, but with added layers of expectation guiding the experience - namely the belief that you are dying. You will likely experience a feeling of detachment from the physical body, floating upwards, a tunnel of light, and feelings of either fear or total peace.
However, the term NDE is actually a misnomer: many conditions aren't actually life-threatening (especially drug-induced NDEs such as with the use of psychedelic drugs like DMT) and with improvements to cardiac resuscitation techniques, more NDEs are reported by survivors every year.
So what causes Near Death Experiences, if they're not some profound glimpse of the afterlife? Studies have actually measured increased activity in the temporal lobe of the brains of NDE subjects. When you stimulate this area with electromagnets, it can cause hallucinations of a supernatural variety, including sensing a divine presence or other spirit-like entities in the room.
While some people seem more susceptible to temporal lobe anomalies than others, these hallucinatory experiences are nonetheless very convincing.

Astral Projection

Astral projection (or astral travel) is an esoteric interpretation of the out of body experience that assumes the existence of a spirit.
The symptoms are much the same as an OBE: feelings of floating out of your body, meeting other entities, and experiencing the physical world from an ethereal perspective (ie, being able to float through walls and teleport around the universe).
However, the expectation principle can cause the experience of astral projection to take on a highly spiritual form. Believers in the afterlife expect to see angels, deceased spirits and even gods - and so that is often what they do see while projecting.
They may travel to different "astral planes"; layers of ethereal realities shaped by energy and light. Yet one key similarity remains: in astral projection, out of body experiences and lucid dreams, your thoughts and feelings guide the experience.
So if you imagine a friend's house, you will likely zap there in an instant. If you imagine your body back in bed, you will quickly return to it. And if you expect to see an astral chord connecting you to your body, it will doubtless be there.

Scientific Research into OBEs

In 2007, neuroscientist Dr Henrik Ehrsson at University College London deliberately induced a type of out of body experience in volunteers. The study, which was published in the journal Science, created a unique illusion that mimics an OBE.
Scientific Out of Body Experience
Ehrsson used head-mounted displays to enable participants to watch a live film recorded by two video cameras behind their head. This enabled them to see their own back from the third-person perspective of someone sitting behind them.
The researcher then prodded the volunteer, while moving a second rod towards where the illusory chest was located. By giving the brain these multiple sensory cues, the volunteers reported the experience of sitting several feet outside their physical body and actually seeing it from that location.
Dr Ehrsson said: "Out-of-body experiences have fascinated mankind for millennia. Their existence has raised fundamental questions about the relationship between human consciousness and the body, and has been much discussed in theology, philosophy and psychology...
"The invention of this illusion is important because it reveals the basic mechanism that produces the feeling of being inside the physical body. This represents a significant advance because the experience of one's own body as the centre of awareness is a fundamental aspect of self-consciousness."
You can read about this study in full at Out of Body Experiences at UCL.

How to Have an Out of Body Experience

As someone who dreams every night, you've already had thousands of "out of body experiences". You just didn't know it at the time.
Think about it: any time you are exploring a dream world (lucid or not) you are roaming free, completely separately from your physical body lying in bed. This is no word play. An out of body experience is your mind, out-of-body, in an internally generated dream world. (Note: this does not mean your dreams literally take you out of body at night.)
Now here is what separates an OBE from a typical dream:
  1. You have a higher level of consciousness during the experience
  2. You initiate the experience by exiting your perceived body
The first criteria means that to have an OBE, you must be fully conscious or lucid. This means that you have vivid self-awareness during the experience, and many or all of your senses are firing just as effectively in waking life. This is what makes it so real. In this form, any type of lucid dream can constitute an out of body experience.
The second criteria means being aware of leaving your body while it is lying in bed. Normally your dreams just launch off in a new environment. But this time you'll begin in your bedroom, in the exact same position as your physical body. In this form, only certain types of wake-induced lucid dreams constitute an out of body experience.
That's the theory out of the way - now let's do some practical work:

How to Have an OBE in 3 Steps

Step 1 - Relax Your Mind and Body

The best time to try this is around 5-7am, after you've have some good quality sleep, but are still tired enough to drop off again into prolonged REM sleep.
Lie down in a comfortable position (on your back is a popular choice). Take some slow, controlled breaths and allow your eyes to close naturally. Try not to think about anything - just allow any thoughts to pass by in their own time.
Start your meditation routine. Beginners will find it helpful to listen to brainwave entrainment on headphones, as this removes thought distractions and stimulates more relaxed states of awareness. The initial goal is to clear and focus your mind while your body falls asleep.
Perform your systematic relaxation routine. Starting from your toes, tighten and then relax every muscle group in your body. Imagine them sinking into the bed or floating up and becoming weightless or simply going invisible. Finish by fully relaxing your face, jaw and neck where you hold most tension.
Within 5-10 minutes you should feel relaxed and dreamy, with greatly reduced awareness of your body. You may begin to feel floating limbs or that your arms are in different positions than they were previously. This is great progress!

Step 2 - Shift Your Awareness

When you have little bodily sensation left, shift your awareness away from your body and gaze into the black space in front of you. Visualize distant stars and planets if you like, or follow your natural hypnagogia (swirling lights and geometric patterns that hypnotize you to sleep). As you go deeper, be aware of the images arising in your mind's eye, beyond your field of vision.
This is known as "falling asleep consciously". You are tricking your body into thinking you have gone to sleep. Your brain and body have an unusual way of communicating and you are simply exploiting a little-known loophole in that process. Don't move a muscle - stay fully relaxed and soft. (If you have an itch, it's ok to scratch it, but then track back or resume where you left off.)
At this stage you may feel the effects of sleep paralysis, as if there is a lead weight moving over your body. Let it come, knowing that you are now very close to an out of body experience. However, some people never feel this stage at all, because their awareness is already focused well beyond the physical body.
As your mind wanders further into the blackness, you may be startled by a loud vibrating or humming noise inside your head. This is just another phase in the out-of-body process. Think of this as the static noise on a radio between two frequencies. It is likely a communication from the brain asking if you are still awake, so go against your instinct and just ignore it. (Actually, the first few times this may be very difficult to ignore because it can be deafening. But you'll soon get used to it and realize nothing bad happens.)

Step 3 - Move Out of Body

The vibrations soon pass and once that happens, you will be set free into your dream world. You may find you already have an arm or leg free, are fully floating above your body in bed, or that you've rolled across the bed and fallen onto the floor!
Don't worry - your real body is lying in bed sleeping peacefully. This early movement can be very confusing but stay with it or you may wake up. If you find you are still "stuck" in your body, remember that you are now in a lucid dream world, where your thoughts become extremely powerful and control all your movement. Use one of the following methods to leave your "paralyzed" body:
  • Float out - visualize your viewpoint has risen a few feet into the air
  • Swing out - visualize a swing forming long arcs as you gain momentum
  • Sink out - imagine your dream body slowly dropping through the bed
  • Roll out - visualize yourself turning on your side and rolling over
  • Teleport out - imagine another location and engage your senses
If you haven't already, you will naturally regain your vision when your awareness moves out of body. If things appear blurry - just ask for clarity. Say out loud to your lucid dream "Clarity Now!" and look closely at the room in detail. You may even be able to validate the fact that you are dreaming by checking minor details in the room.

Meeting Entities During OBEs

As we now understand, the temporal lobe is more active during out of body experiences and lucid dreams, and if you are more prone to spiritual or religious beliefs then you are more likely to encounter a presence in your bedroom. Spirits, angels, the ghosts of loved ones and even demons may materialize to observe, help or hinder your quest.
Remember, these are dream characters. Their behavior is fueled by your expectation, so if you expect them to be malevolent, they likely will be. The best response is to accept their presence and welcome them into your dream. They are a part of your own unconscious mind. Embrace them, sing happy songs at them, laugh with them and ask for their help. They will gladly oblige.

Final Thoughts

What happens once you are out of your body? Most people fly and have a lucid dream adventure, either concretely or loosely based on the physical world, or completely fantastical, taking them to Candyland and back!
There are many books written by advanced OBE explorers, describing their induction process and their out of body travels. I found Journeys Out of The Body by Robert Monroe particularly fascinating. It relates how Monroe, a doctor in the 1950s, began having involuntary OBEs and first thought he was going mad. As he tries to make sense of events from a rational scientific view, the convincing nature of his dreams led him to take a spiritual perspective of his experiences beyond the body. Monroe has since passed and many now conclude that his experiences were internal dream worlds - but they are none the less intriguing accounts of OBE-exit lucid dreams.
As you read more about out of body experiences, you will encounter esoteric theories in support of life after death and astral travel. It is a powerful trick of the mind, for sure, but don't rush to reach this conclusion. My advice is to remain skeptical until you have enough personal experience to decide for yourself. An OBE is one scenario where believing in ghosts and ghouls will almost certainly deliver negative experiences, so it's wise to keep a cool head and take your out-of-body dreams for exactly what they are - dreams! Intense, vivid, inspiring, profound, spiritual. But - in all likelihood - dreams nonetheless...

How to Stop Nightmares with Role Playing and Lucid Dreams

Be The First To Comment
If you're a lucid dreamer, you probably already know that becoming lucid is a powerful way to deal with nightmares. Now, in a 2015 study, researchers have validated this theory by teaching nightmare sufferers how to lucid dream - with significant findings.
The 10-week study combined the practice of lucid dreaming with Gestalt therapy - a form of psychotherapy which emphasizes personal responsibility and uses role playing to resolve past conflicts. The participants were split into two groups: one group received Gestalt therapy alone, while the other group received Gestalt therapy and were trained in lucid dreaming for one hour per week.

Good news for wannabe lucid dreamers

Over a period of 10 weeks, 12 out of 16 (75%) were able to learn to dream lucidly. This supports the idea that lucid dreaming is a learnable skill and accessible to the general population.
Both groups kept dream diaries throughout the experiment, as well as reporting on their sleep quality via questionnaires at 5, 10 and 12 weeks.
The result? Both groups reported significantly fewer nightmares at the three-month follow-up. However, the group who learned lucid dreaming reported a reduction in nightmares that was both sooner and higher...

Treating Nightmares with Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt Therapy and The Two Chair Technique in Treating Nightmares
In Gestalt therapy sessions, the dreamers were encouraged to describe and confront their nightmares by role playing the main characters and images with the two-chair technique.
This is where one chair represents the dreamer, and the other chair represents the nightmare character or image. Through improvisation, the dreamer then swaps between chairs and role plays the nightmare figure vs themself.
Gestalt therapy is successful in treating nightmares because it helps to:
  • Understand why you're having nightmares in the first place
  • Realize that the emotions of the dream are part of your own personality
  • Gain a sense of control and responsibility for yourself through role playing
  • Relieve the emotional strain of the nightmare through group therapy

Treating Nightmares with Lucid Dreaming

The addition of lucid dream training to the study had a noticeable impact. Though both groups reported fewer nightmares after three months of treatment, the lucid dreamers were reporting results before the Gestalt therapy had concluded at 10 weeks.
Here's what the researchers did for the group who learned lucid dreaming:

Other Effects of Gestalt Therapy and Lucid Dreams

Interestingly, the 12 people who were exposed to both Gestalt therapy and successfully learned to lucid dream during the study reported improved sleep quality to a statistically significant degree.
Though it's still a small sample, it does lend credence to the idea that lucid dreaming, besides stopping nightmares, can also provide a better night's sleep.
Another finding was that lucid dreamers got much better that remembering their dreams after 5 weeks, while those in the Gestalt therapy only groups found no difference on their dream recall.

Scientists Trigger Lucid Dreams with Electrical Stimulation

Be The First To Comment
An electrifying experiment led by Ursula Voss of Frankfurt University has revealed a way to artificially induce what appear to be lucid (or perhaps semi-lucid) dreams as much as 77% of the time.
Scientists Trigger Lucid Dreams with Gamma Frequencies
The method involved "zapping" the brains of non-lucid dreamers while they were asleep and dreaming. Transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) was applied via electrodes to the frontal cortex for 30-second periods.
The 27 subjects were awoken shortly after to provide their dream reports and rate them on a lucidity scale.
"They were really excited," said Voss. "The dream reports were short, but long enough for them to report 'Wow, all of the sudden I knew this was a dream, while I was dreaming'."

The Gamma Sweet Spot

Having tested a variety of frequencies, Voss and her team soon zoned in on the magic 40 Hz frequency (and to a lesser extent, 25 Hz) as the best trigger for inducing apparently lucid dreams.
This Gamma band sweet spot coincides with earlier research by Voss in which she detected 30-40 Hz brainwaves via EEG in experienced lucid dreamers.
The new claim is that Gamma frequencies associated with heightened awareness are fundamental to lucidity, rather than a by-product of it.

A Silver Bullet for Lucid Dreaming?

This is the first time scientists have identified a reliable way to artificially trigger heightened self awareness in dreams. Does this mean we could all tap into instant lucid dreams with a portable "brain zapper" in future?
Christian Jarrett, writing for Wired, pointed out that while the participants reported realizing they were dreaming, they were still inexperienced in handling that lucidity, as demonstrated by their average lucidity scores.
The dream subjects were asked to rate their dreams on a measurable lucidity scale, from 0 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree) for the following features:
  • Feelings of insight (knowing they're dreaming)
  • Dissociation (taking a third person perspective)
  • Control (ability to manipulate the dream)
Even at the most effective Gamma stimulation, average scores were relatively low: 0.6 for insight, 1.3 for dissociation, and 0.5 for dream control:
Mean Lucidity Scores
So although the success rate of tACS is vastly improved compared to old school lucid dream masks like the REM Dreamer and NovaDreamer, both technologies rely on the dreamer to actively sustain their lucidity.
If you decide to invest in a tACS electrical stimulation product, it's also important to invest the time in developing sufficient mindfulness to apprehend, sustain and control your technology-induced lucid dreams.
Even so, Voss' results are truly remarkable. It's an important discovery that Gamma waves are a causal factor in lucid dreaming. What's more, with such a good success rate, tACS stimulation could become a popular lucidity inducer in future, making this brain state more accessible to the wider population.

Lucid Dreams Found to Take Place at Gamma Brainwave Frequencies

Be The First To Comment
Lucid Dreams Found to Take Place at Gamma Brainwave Frequencies
Lucid dream researchers at the Neurological Laboratory in Frankfurt, Germany, have discovered brainwave frequencies as high as 40 Hz occuring in lucid volunteers while they sleep.
The study from 2009 was carried out on the basis that lucid dreaming is a dissociated state with aspects of waking and dreaming combined in a way so as to suggest a specific alteration in brain physiology. The study authors - who included leading dream researchers Ursula Voss and J Allan Hobson - revealed the lucid combination of hallucinatory dream activity and wake-like reflective awareness to be paralleled by significant changes in electrophysiology.
To collect the data, six student volunteers were primed with pre-sleep autosuggestions to have lucid dreams. Then, for five nights per student, the researchers monitored their brainwave frequencies with EEG, with parituclar attention to their lucid episodes.
The results were a world first. Lucid dreams occur not just in delta and theta ranges, but also higher-than-REM frequencies in the gamma band, peaking at around 40 Hz. This effect was strongest in the frontal and frontolateral areas of the brain, which are considered to be the seat of linguistic thought and higher awareness.

A Hybrid State of Consciousness

What does this cutting edge lucid dream research mean?
Experts have considered lucid dreaming a mixed state of REM dreaming and waking cognition for years. But this new evidence suggests that lucid dreaming constitutes a hybrid state of consciousness with definable and measurable differences from waking and from REM sleep. A new state of consciousness, perhaps?
This hybrid state of waking and dreaming fits well with J Allan Hobson's AIM model for sleep cognition. The AIM model predicts different levels of consciousness based on three features:
  • Whether the imagery is sourced internally or externally
  • The activation levels of the brain
  • The modulation of the state by brain chemicals
So lucid dreaming could now arguably be mapped as a completely separate state from REM dreaming thanks to the gamma brainwave frequency now associated with it in this experiment.

Lucid Dreams and Brainwave Entrainment

The detection of gamma frequencies may also support the use of brainwave entrainment to increase the frequency and facilitate the onset of lucid dream states.
Brainwave entrainment is a form of audio technology which relaxes the listener into a meditative state. It is designed to synchronize their brainwaves into predictable patterns required for different levels of consciousness.
With practice, entering these altered states of awareness with brainwave entrainment may habitualize the process of relaxation and falling asleep consciously - a known lucid dream induction technique. It may also lead to improved self awareness in waking life, also increasing the chances of lucidity.
High levels of meditation have been scientifically linked with gamma brainwave frequencies before (Lutz et al, 2004) and even the ability to be hypnotized (De Pascalis, 1993). There is also a scientific link between regular meditation to achieve altered states and the ability to lucid dream.

How Guayusa Can Boost Lucid Dreams (Ecuatea Review + Coupon Code)

Be The First To Comment
Lucid dreaming tea!
What a cool idea.
When I first heard about Guayusa and what it can do, I was STOKED.
But before I start this guayusa review I’d like to say that this isn’t JUST for lucid dreaming. This stuff is great for EVERYTHING and will give you energy throughout the day.
It’s not JUST a lucid dreaming tea; BUT it is great for that as well. Channing Tatum uses Guayusa, so read on to find out why.
I’ll explain what Guayusa is, how it works and where you can get it. I’ll also review Ecuatea guayusa tea and at the end I’ll give you an Ecuatea coupon code to get a 10% discount!

What is Guayusa?

Guayusa or ‘Ilex Guayusa’ is a plant that grows in Ecuador, Peru, and Columbia.
It grows about 200-2000 meters high. It’s not very often collected by botanists, and is cultivated generally. Its helping to bring income to the people who cultivate it, as more people around the world are learning about it’s interesting effects and importing it.
It’s also known as ‘Wayusa’. Some people refer to it as ‘watchmans plant’ because it’s said to ‘keep your eyes open in the night’. This means basically it’s PERFECT for lucid dreaming!
It’s said to sharpen senses during the day as well, and so people native to where the plant grows take it so keep them alert while hunting. The ‘stimulant’ effect is said to be more powerful than coffee but without the ‘buzzy jitters’ that coffee can give you. (I can confirm this is in fact true. More on that later) Cool stuff!

How does Guayusa work for lucid dreaming?

The effects of Guayusa need just a bit of explaining.
Firstly, if you’re trying to use Guayusa as a lucid dreaming tea you should probably have at least some idea about how lucidity works in general. You’re not going to instantly wake up in your dreams just by drinking tea. If only it were that easy.
What it DOES do is provide ‘dream support’ like most lucid supplements. This means if you have the foundations there you’ll find it EASIER to become lucid when taking the tea.
It works in a number of ways to promote alertness, focus and self awareness AT THE SAME TIME as promoting relation and serenity.
This mixture is what makes it a better stimulant than coffee, and one that can actually help you sleep and dream better.
Let’s look at the basics.
Caffeine is a natural stimulant which is said to improve cognitive function, focus and mental clarity. That being said it can leave you feeling jittery and ‘buzzed’ if you drink too much.

Guayusa tea benefits

It’s been shown that Guayusa tea has:
 – More caffeine than coffee
 – Double the amount of antioxidants as green tea (This is good stuff that helps your body heal!)
 – A secret substance which turns the jitters of coffee into a smooth long lasting focused serenity
 – A substance which has been shown to help naturally with weight loss (‘chlorogenic acids’)
Guayusa lucid dreaming tea
Sounds really good! And it is!
So, normally when you drink coffee, you do get a buzz.
Your senses are heightened and you have more focus. Problem is, it usually wears off after a few hours, right?
Also when you first drink coffee in the first hour or so, (especially if you’ve drunk an espresso) you’ll notice you might feel ‘wired’ and shaky.
Well, this isn’t the case with guayusa. Guayusa contains a ‘secret’ substance which counteracts this jitteriness and produces a smooth longer lasting buzz and focus.
Enter: L-Theanine.
L-Theanine is the amino acid in guayusa which promotes relaxation, and helps to reduce stress.
It allows you to stay focused but also serene and calm. It’s also boosts your mood and improves cognitive performance. It’s pretty incredible.
Guayusa vs Yerba Mate: Just a quick note on these two lucid dreaming teas. Yerba mate is actually GOOD for focus, awareness and lucid dreaming. It’s just that.. Well..Guayusa is simply better!
Why?
Well, in certain drinks, there are ‘nervous stimulating molecules’. These are known as ‘Xanthines’. Some of these Xanthines are Caffeine, Theobromine and Theophylline.
Coffee only contains caffeine, whereas Yerba mate and Guayusa also contain the other two; Theobromine and Theophylline.
This means that Yerba Mate and Guayusa provide more energy and for longer as well. The difference is as I explained before that Guayusa contains L-Theanine as well.
So it has all the benefits of coffee, Yerba Mate and other energy drinks but it also contains L-Theanine, making the buzz much ‘smoother’ and longer lasting.

Ecuatea Guayusa Review

By now you should be starting to see how awesome Guayusa lucid dreaming tea can be and why you need it in your life! Now I’m going to talk a little bit about the particular Guayusa I tried from a company called ‘Ecuatea’.
Ecuatea Guayusa is really good, and comes in a lovely good looking pouch (there are also bigger sizes available like pots etc)
Guayusa review lucid dreaming ecuatea
What does Guayusa taste like?
It tastes surprisingly smooth and almost sweet. Of course you can add your own stuff like Sugar, Honey etc but I prefer to just taste it naturally. It’s really not bad at all! It also taste great cold or hot, which is not something I can say for other teas I’ve tried.
Guayusa review lucid dreaming ecuatea
Does guayusa taste good
How to brew Guayusa –  Brewing Guayusa is pretty easy. Basically, you’ve got your loose leaves.
Lucid dreaming tea leaves
You take one-two teaspoons of the leaves, put them in a cup and then pour boiling water on them. Luckily, Guayusa doesn’t get bitter like some other teas the longer you leave it and when you use boiling water. After about 6-15 minutes (Depending on how strong you want it) it’s ready to be filtered.
Now you just need to put it through a tea strainer or a sieve. I use a sieve but I’ll be getting a proper strainer soon.
You can use the leaves more than once! I’ve found that the leaves retain their strength for about 3-4 uses! You can just pour more hot water on the filtered leaves and have another cup. Or just use fresh leaves, it’s up to you.

How to use Guayusa for lucid dreams

Now, aside from giving you focus, energy and happiness in the day time this tea actually has some great effects for lucid dreaming as well.
The BEST effects are noticed when you drink it in the early morning and then go back to sleep. This is because you’re targeting your REM sleep. I’ve said before that your best lucid dreams happen in this time of the night.
Basically, just drink it normally how you would in the day time.
You can either brew it at the time you wake up or brew it before you go to sleep and drink it cold when you wake up in the early morning. I prefer to have it ready before I go to bed all filtered and ready to drink but that’s just me. I find it hard to go back to sleep once I’ve got up and started doing things, but everyone’s different.
It boosts your lucid dreams by helping to keep you alert but at the same time relaxed. This means it’s easy to fall back asleep but you maintain your awareness and focus, meaning you get profound and very stable lucid dreams.
It’s awesome, in short!
So the best way to use guayusa for lucid dreaming is to brew a cup and then drink it in conjunction with your wake back to bed method. You could also use the wake induced technique as well.
